Darkness Part 2
Afraid of my Own Shadow
After posting last week and discussing IRL with some trusted folks, I recognize that I am part of my personal darkness. While I still believe we are tumbling downhill into a cave, my frustration does nothing to slow or prevent the J and J moment.
I’ve been swarming in the social media swamp, spinning my own shadows and the shadows of shadows. I have uninstalled all social media from my phone and am going to limit my FB, IG, Threads, and BlueSky to a monthly skim on my laptop. I will continue to listen to podcasts, but observe my reactions and unsubscribe from the poisonous partisan pandering.
I confess that I have been reading comments and commenting on threads and comments, waiting for a like or a thumbs up to validate some vitriol. For the next six months, I am purging and fasting. If you want to reach me, I will still be checking LinkedIn every couple of days, and you can always text, call, or buy me a pint.
