As a disclaimer, I advise the reader that this blog is and will not be a safe space. The thoughts, words, content, and context may trigger multiple sensitivities, and that triggering may be intentional or, as likely, unintentional.
For much of my life, I have chosen to be of service to others both in avocation and vocation. Along the way, I used provocation as a tool to discourse and selfishly cause shock and cringe in the hope that others would pause and think. Unsurprisingly, I have been accused of being disruptive and, on occasion, insensitive. This blog will be the new, but not exclusive, venue for positioning, posturing, posing, and postulating on issues and ideas circling my sphere. In this space, my purpose is in the disturbance of others.
Over the next 100 posts or so, I am going to tread through some sacred cow manure and ideological nonsense.
What if we stopped calling people vulnerable and treating them like they are incapable?
How would the world change if we respected each other rather than trying to be kind?
We may need more uncertainty and discomfort to lift us out of the mire of convenience.
Why did we surrender our curiosity for a cheap imitation of knowledge?
Is it possible to have a big government, big charity, and a strong society to coexist?
Could we see a 40 % reduction in public service across all jurisdictions without really noticing?
I believe that given the opportunity and circumstances, we will all take care of ourselves, our family, and our community.
If we continue to manage social issues, social issues manage to continue.
Yesterday is not tomorrow.
Tomorrow isn't written in stone.
How can diversity bring harmony?
Can we forge a new way, economically, by doing what we haven't done for 25 years?
These are a few ideas twisting in the wind between my ears. If any of this post was interesting, provoking, challenging, or disruptive, please like and subscribe. If you think someone else should hear the scattered musings, forward this post to them.
As always, thank you for your time and your interest. If you have anything to say about the ideas expressed here, be sure to post in the comments.
